anxiety in teensWhat do you do when an authority figure is shaming you? Do you have the courage to find your voice in an unequal power arrangement?

As an answer, I am going to direct you to Dr. Harriet Lerner’s guest post in AnxietyInTeens.org.

On reflection, the post is also a reminder to us of the role that teachers play in our life.

Anxiety in Teens was started by Solome Tibebu when she was in her teens herself and couldn’t find the support that she was looking. The site is a great resource for teenagers looking for help with psychological problems, the website has a lot of articles on how to cope with anxiety and also a support forum.

Here’s a TEDx video where Solome talks about her struggle with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
